G. E. Ross (Manawatu) defeated the Wellington pair, II. C. Ford and Aliss M. Claugliton, 26 — 24. The hnal of the handicap singles. second seetion, was als,o decided. J. Kitson (Southland)- won the first life from Mrs. N. I. Hunter (Canterbury) 26—22 and easily accounted;. for Mrs. Kitson in the second life, winning 26 — 2. Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. Kitson will plav off for runner-up. WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Mrs. L, Wood (Manawatu) beat Mrs. J. Palmer (Canterbury) 6 — 26, 26 — 3, 26—18; Mrs. A. -C.
