Young Man Charged With Attempted Murder

AUCXLANb, Jan. 22. • While. a porfable radio tQ a looal statioa was playing oa the ootpath where he and a marrfed woman were. standing in Syinonds Street, ahout 9 p,w. qiv Deceruber 3, Fredexiek George Streeton,. aged 22, butcher, was stabbed with a seven-inch knifo and wounded in the chest, Re was admitted to hospital where he ia still a pa.tient. The hnsband. of the, woman, Ldward George Thomas Blraad, aged 21, labenrer, was charged in the Police Court today with attempting to inurder Streeton. . . Pleading not guilty, accused was Coniinitted to the Supreme Court for trial.
