Meeting of Otaki Bowling Club's Committee

: — - The monthly meeting of the conimittee of the ' Otaki Bowling Club was held on Tuesday night, Mr. w: Wilson presiding. There were present: Messrs. Cole, Kearns, Jenkins, Snowden, Nicolson and Avery- (acting-secretary) . . . An application made by the R.S.A. for the use of the green for its annual tournament on February 1 was granted. The Karori Club wrote ' agreeing to the suggestion of the Otaki Club that the mat-ch for the Roberts Shield be played at Otaki on February 14. It is likely that eight Karori rinks will make the trip. Petone Central state'd their willingness to pay Otaki a visit on Sunday next, and it was agreed that the match be played. Eight Otaki rinks are wanted. Mr. W. Wilson, in the absence of Mr. F. P. Walsh, was appointed selector. A match with Otaki Railway for the Olliv.er Shield will b.e played on February 21. The president reported that Mr. HortOn, green supervisor, had visit-' ed the green and expressed himself as delighted with its condition. In fact he had never seen it looking better. Th provision of a hut as an addition to the pavilion was not entertairied, but the matter of- securing extra ground -for an additional green was favourably considered. This matter will. be discussed at the annual meeting.
