Constable T. C. Kingsbeer, of the Palmerston North Police Station is at present relieving at Levin. Mr. Alexander Macintosh, of Mariri Road, Kelburn, celebrated his 100th birthday yesterday. Constable W. R. Gillespie, of the Levin Police is ' at present on unnual leave. Constable C. A. Pennell, of Palmerston North, has resigned from the Police Force after 11 years in the service, in order to take up farming on hi's own account in the Kairanga^ Mr. H. Jenner Wily, of Auckland, has been appointed a Stipendiary Magistrate to fill the complement of Magistrates, consequent on the retirement of Mr. J. Miller, S.M. Meanwhile he will be reiieving at Napier. _
