TIMARU, Jan. 20. A positive reaction' has been given by a suspeeted ease of poliomyelitis, an adult wonian admit ted to the fimaru Public Ilospital from the Pleasant Point district. This information was given by the medical officer for the Timaru health district (Dr. G. L. McLeod). The patient was admitted to hospital on Saturday. This is the lirst positive case to be reported in the Timaru health district extondmg from the Rakaia River to tho southern boun- | dary of the Waitaki County.
