After lurking for hours ontside tne Olvmpic Hotel, in the centre of tlie eity, yesterday, a rnan pounccd on a woinan, knocked her down, dragged her across a lane and eseaped with two handbags containing about £400 in notes. The vietini is employpd at the hotel as an ai-conntant and book-keeper. She was daxed and hrnised after being dragged face downward for about 1 5 vards clinging to the bags. Her s-reams suininoned a number oi people to the scene, but the nag snatchei' eluded his pursners by dashing acioss the street and into a erowded department store. The wonian was aeeustomed to go ejaeh dav from the ho.tel to a bank at troon witli the rnorning's takings.
