Abattoir Killings
The fees at the Levin Abattoir for the month of December totalled £1193 10s lOd, as compared with £1240 15s 4d for the same month of 1946, reported the manager, Mr. F. E. Larsen, at Monday night's meeting of the Levin Borough Council. The stock slaughtered was as follows, the figures for December, 1946, being given in parentheses: Cattle 555 (592), sheep and lambs 6399 (6849), pigs 753 ' (594) attd calves 11 G50) .
