AMERICAN FANS PROTEST
Metro's report that Gene Kellj will probably star in a sequel tc "The Jolson Story" has irked the fans in America. . Letters, wires and telephone calls of protest are pouring into the studio. The public feel that Larry Parks — whc starred in "The Jolson Story" for Columbia — should do the role. A1 Jolson himself will' sing and record again for this second film, which will tell new incidents in his colourful life.
