The third young New Zealancl doctor to die in tragie cireumstanees after very brief serviee at Kongehuen Hospit.al, South China, Lr. John Kirlc Brown, of Gore, sueeumbed last Tuesday to severe eneephalitis, states a eable received yesterday by Corso. Dr. P-Brown, a senior house surgeon at Gisborne Hospital, volunteered last year for relief serviee .in China and was allotted by Coi'so to Kongchuen Hospital which was foundedtbv the New Zealand Presbytefian Chureh and has always been largely stalfed by New : Zealanders. He was 27 years -old and * lrnd arrived at the hospital direet from New Zealand only a feW days earlier.
