HOUSES FROM BOMBERS
Eeceived Thursdav, 9.50 p.m. PEKTH, Jan. 15. Thirty-three thousand aluminum homes were made in Britain last year from surplus bombers. This was revealed by Air Chief iStarshal Sir Keith Park, who reached Fremantle today in the Akaroa bound for Kew Zeuland. He said the bombers were broken down and the material put into the melting pot from which aliwninium was turued out. Oue former airerat't factory was being used for the mass production of tlie.se homes and the- output had reached 200 a week. Son\e of the homes were being sent to Brazil. Sir Iveith will take up a post as Pai'tiic 'representative for the HawkerSiddeley group of aircraft waaufacturers with headquarters in Xew Zeuland. He will visit Aus-fralia regularly. The group embraees 30 diil'erent cofupanies which produce all types of aircraft. Sir Iveith said Britain had caught up the lag in the manufacture of civil aircraft and her first post wai' civil transport, the Avro Tudor, w&s considered to be tlie equal oi' anythiug the United States produced.
