CIVIC THEATRE
THURSDAY & FRIDAY ' rj "The Runaround," the new Universal drama-comedy which shows on Thursday and Friday at the Civic Theatre, is the exeiting story of a cross-country woman-hunt, conducted by a hard-boiled private detective to whom nothing is sacred but the almighty dollar. His regeneration and the methods used to bring it about by Penelope, the girl he thinks he is selling out, make up one of the most amusing stories to come to the screen since "It Happened One Night." "The RunaroUnd" co-stars Ella Raines and Rod Cameron together for the first time. On the same programme are Elsie and Doris Waters in "Gert and Daisy Clean Up," a mirthquake of laughter.
