WELLINGTON, Jan. II. The Minister of Immigration ; (Air. MeLagaii) stated today'that more'tlian 1000 new settlers from the Unitod Kingdom would be arriving by 'the Atlantis and tlie Eangitata during tho lirst weelt in February. It was 'hot yet possible tc say how many people wonkl be alloeated to the various distncts. Further details were being awaited from London, but the videst difetribution would be niade throughout tho whole of New Zealand. Employment within the districts would be arranged by the distrier offices and the Immigration Department in consultation with the employment advisory .eommittees for the various industries.
