After , representing New Zealand ai three international - conf'erences overseas, Mr. J. E. Stokes, AssiytantDirector of Commerce with the Department of Industries and Commerce, returned to New Zealand on a Britisu Pacifie Skymaster. Mr. Stokes said he attcnded the Commonwealth Conference in Imndon which b'egan last March and then spent seven raonths at Geneva at the Trade and Tariff G011ferenee. During the last two montlis he attended the World Trade Conferenee at Havana assisting the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nasli.v
