EXPERIMENTS WITH ROCKET POWERED VEHICLES
Received Wednesday, 10 a.m. NEW YORK, Jan. 13. The Northrop Aircraft Company announced at Muro'c air hase, California, that in supersonic barrier experiments, it had sent unmanned land vehicles hurtling over tracks at 1019 miles per hour. Rocket-powered vehicles, -with runners grlpping the rails,; were" sent over a section of standard gauge railway track.
