PLUNKET SHIELD GAME AT AUCKLAND
AUCKLAND, Jan. 1 1. Two days are left for play in tlie Plunket .Shield match between Auckland and Wellington at Eden Park. The game is at an interesting stage with Auckland in a position at present tq for'ee a win on the first innings. The home team eompiled 299 runs in tne first innings and dismissed four Wellington batsmen for 93. There was a larger attendance on Saturday, the gate takings amounting to £300. This brouglit the total for tlie two days to £431. A feature of the play wras the very solid innings by V; J, Scott -for 115 whieh proved a most valuable one for the team. Scores: — AUCKLAND.
