The discussions have been extreniely cordial. The treaty will be signed next week and published as soon as possible afterwards. • The announcement ,is seen as the sign of improving relations between Britain and the Middle East countries, says Eeuter's- diplomatic correspondent. Well-informed quarters believe Britain, under the new treaty, waived the right to maintain troops in peace time, ! eiljoying lraqi legal immunities at the Habbaniyah and Bhaibah airfields.
