WOMAN ATTACKED

WELLINGTON, Jan. 11. A woman was attaeked and knoclced to the ground in a lane running ofi D'ixon Street, Wellington, into the back oi the Reg-ent' billiard room, at 10.30 p.m. on Saturday. She is Mrs. 1. MeLaren, Belfast Street, Wellington. Rei streams attracted several passersby but 1 lier attacker made off quickl y. Mrs. McLaren was admitted fo Wellington Public Hospital with a sWeiling on liei head. She stated it was caused by someone punching her. She was discharged from hospital today. Police 1 enquiries are continuing.
