Among the equipment and suppliesBritain has contracted to deliver to the Soviet Union under the recently-signed Moscow trade agreement are 1100 narrow-gauge locomotives for nse in timber carrving, 2400 flat trucks for the sanie purpose, 250 molor timber carriers, £1,050,000 wqrth of plywood manufac.txiring equipment, and £400,000 worth of timber mill equipment. General supplies include £150,000 worth of scientific and lab'oratory equipment, 48 large electrie transformers, and 45 isolating switches, and 300 lOO-kilowatt electrie motors. The Russian Government will d'eal direct with the Bntish manufacturers, but the British Government undertakes to faciJitate the completion of orders by agreed dates. The agreement also proyides that shipping representatives should meet innnediately to xnake necessary arrangemeiits for developing trade between the two countries.
