Established by St. iladeleine Sophie, an exc.ellenee prize whiek is the highest honour in the schools of tlie Society of the Sacred Heart throughout the world, has been won by a pupil of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Island Bay, Wellington. Hhe is Piera Monro, eldest daughter of Dr. and Alrs. H. M. Monro, Feilding. This is the fourth time the prize has been 'gained in schools of the Society of the Sacred Heart in New Zealand but 20 years have elapsed since it was ljist awarded in Wellington.
