Pcrson^I Mr: Michael Ryder, of Invercargill, is the guest of Mrs. V. Tews. Miss Hodges has returned to Christchurch after visiting friends in Otaki. Mr. and Mrs. Willis, of ' Eastbourne, Wellington, are spending a camping holiday in Otaki. Mrs. O. D'Ath has arrived back from Australia, where she has been visiting her daughter at Elizabeth Bay Convent. The Rev. Father Ainsworth, a well known air pilot in the Pacific, is spending a vacation at the Catholic Presbytery, Otaki. Mrs. V. Noble, who has been spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. Stevenson, at Lower Hutt, returned home on Tuesday night. Mrs. St. George, who has been on holiday in Awakino, has returned to her home. Mrs. St. George has been absent from Otaki for a month, staying with her. daughter, Mrs. J. N. Webber. The Third Fire Call The Otaki Fire Brigade received a call yesterday, the third within three days, due to an outbreak in scrub in Manuka Street. VisitcTo Dunedin A number of Otaki and district bowlers leave for the south on Saturday to take part in the bowling tournament at Dunedin.
