Jews Throw Bomb From An ' Armoured Car

Received Thursday, 9.15 a.m. LONDON,; Jan. 7. The police have estimated that eleven Arabs and tyyo Jews were killed today when Jews, in a crudely' made armoured car, threw a bomb into Jaffa Gate, says the Associated Press' Jerusalem corres-* pondent. The car then raced through the Arab quarter, where the occupants threw another bomb and killed one Arab policeman and wounded one British constable. The occupants abandoned the car and ran into a cemetery under fire from troops, police and Arabs. The correspondent says the attackers were disguised as Palestine police. The armoured car machine-gunned the crowd before each explosion. The British United Press correspondent says that the poliOe and troops who chased three Jews into the cemetery after the bombings shot one man who fell. The others returned to assist him and both were shot. Two died and one is seriously wounded. According to Beuter's correspondent, the- British security , men who chased the crew of the armoured car into the I cemetery, accounted for. all ! five, shooting three dead and capturing two. j It is officially stated that ten ; Arabs were killed and 41 ' Arabs and three British policemen injured in the bombing.
