DUNEDIN LEADS IN HEALTH STAMP SALES

A review of the Dominion position on November 30 reveals that 89 per cent. of the objective of £100,000 had been realised. The largest amounts were obtained in the following postal districts: Wellington £13,652, Dunedin £12,296, Christchurch £11,283, Auckland £9534, Hamilton £5683, Palmerston North £4453, Wanganui £3941. On a quota basis Dunedin easily leads the Dominion with 192 per cent., followe'd by Wanganui ,147 per cent., Wellington 143 per cent., with- Palmerston North 117 per cent. fourth position, ciosely followed by Timaru 108 per cent., Christchurch 106 per cent., and Gisborne 102 per cent. These were the only districts that had actually obtained their quota at the rate of 3s 9d per household. At December 31 Palmerston North's total of £4926 increased the quota percentage to 130 per cent. Fifteen of the 24 offices in the district have exceeded their quota as follows:— ■ Levin 9s 5d per household, Kimbolton 7s 6d, Shannon 6s 4d, Dannevirke. 6s 3d, Weraroa 5s 9d, Weber 5s 4d, Pongaroa 5s, Palmerston North 4s 8d', ' Sanson 4s 6d, Rongotea 4s 4d, Bulls, 4s 3d, Feilding, 4s 2d, Woodville "4s, Glen Oroua 4s, Pahiatua 3s lld.
