JEWELS TAKEN BY RUSSIANS
Received Wednesday, 10.20 a.m. LAUSANNE, Jan. 6. Ex-King Michael has denied reports that he left' Rumania to he free to enjoy himself and be married, and that his special train was loaded with valuables and filled with refugees escaping from the new Rumanian regime. Michael said that the Royal party consisted of only. 14 people. It is 'disclosed that the Russians examined Michael's luggage before Tie train left Bueharest, and took away all valuables and jewels, for ■vhich they gave a written receipt. The Russians kept several pieces of luggage, and even cut open apples to see if -anything was concealed.
