TWO MORE PARALYSIS CASES IN AUCKLAND
AUCKLAND, Jiin. 1. Two more positive eases and three suspected eases of infantile paralysis have heen adinitted to the Auckland Hospital. There were 56 positive eases and six suspeets in hospital toniglit. One of the new positive eases was an adult and the other was a child, hotu heing from the eity a.rea. Of the two suspeets adinitted this afternoon/ one was from th'e eity and the other froin the* nort-hem • part /©#•- the Waifek&ta eounty. The humbei of fatal Auckland eases has heen reduced by oue to- eight, the death of a child previously reported to have heen caused hy infantile paralysis, has heen shown by tests to have heen due to meningitis. It was oftieialh stated that there were douhts at the time of tlfe child 's death about the diagnosis. It was -not delinitely estahlished that the ease was not poliumyelitis.
