AUCKLAND, .Jan. 4. Another death from infantile paralvsis, the eighth since the epidemie broke out on November 15, occurred at the Auckland Hospital todav. The victim was a girl aged 14 from Clevedon who was admitted to hospital 011 Fridav. Her death was stated to be caused by paralvfjis of the respiratorj muscles. So far three children have died from the disease, the other live fatal cases being adults. There were no new cases admitted to hospital during the weekend but an adult suspected of sulfering from paralvsis was brouglit in from a wesiern suburb todav. There are now 53 positive ta.tes in the Auckland Hospitai and three suspeets. Since the outbreak of the epidemie 82 cases have oceurred in the Auckland health district. Of tins nuinber.21 have been discharged, most of them having tnade a coniplete recoverv. Six of the patients were sent ^ home last week, one of them today.
