WRT.T.IN OTON, Jan. 2. . 1 The London Coal Committee has alloeated 20,0(10 tons of steam coal from Brrf-ain for the New Zealand railways. Mr. C. H. Benney, Under-Becretarv for Mines, announced this tonight vvhon a Press Association cn.ble from London saying British . coal would he loaded this month for the Dominion, ' was referrpd to him. Mr. Benney saiu the 20,000 tons was alloeated for the month s of January and Februarv. Negot-iations for supnlies of British coal have been proceeding for some time. l
