BODY OF MAN FOUND IN THICK SCRUB
WELL'IX WTOX, Jan. 2. 'The bodv of a male in an advanced state of deeomposition was found in ti tree and gorse in the Te Marua reserve three miles north of Upper Hutt today. The body is not identifiable by its appearanee but eertain papers, inehuling a nation hook, found in the elothing may lead to earlv identifieation. It is thoug'ht t'he man was elderly. He was clad in a blue belted overeoat, brown three-pieee suit and medium-heavy blaek boo'ts. Bonve of the elothing is ' believed to have been niade by a Masterton firni now out of business. The discovery was made by a man looking for lirewood. The body was about hat'f a mile from the maia roe.d. The polioe h*d to eut a traek 100 yards long to bring the body out of the srrub to the neai;est eleftr ground. Tlie poliee said Ihdre was 110 suggcs'lion oi foul play.
