PARAPARAUMU NOTES
(From "Chronicle" Correspondent) The church services in the district on Christmas Day were weil attended, although the absence of children made them appear somewhat different to those of previous years. Boxing Day was a very boisterous one at the beach, flying san'd and a rough sea makmg conditions very unpleasant, while showers of rain were frequent. At night the wind reached gale force and many campers' tents were blown down, and considerable damage was done to gardens. In the orchards the fruit trees received a severe buffeting. The motor camps are very quiet owing to the restrictions imposed as a result of the infantile paralyrsis outbreak.
