Personal „ , , „ ivir. Snooks, father of Mrs. R. Eaton, of Otaki, is on holiday in Ooaki, ai'ter wnich he will proceed to Auckland. The death occurred at Wellington on Fnaay of Mrs. Wiliiam H. bmith, mother of Mr. Herbert Douglas, of Otaki. The funeral took piace at Wellington today. Guild's Thoughtfulness On Thursday members of All Saints' Guild forwarded several loveiy bunches of flowers to the patients at the Otaki Sanatorium. Their thoughtful gesture was fully appreciated. Weicome Rain Weicome rain after the long' spell of hot dry weather fell in ucaki and district on Saturday night and yescerday. Heavy showers fell at Paraparaumu on Saturday. An Unusual Happening While a iocai molor-cyclist was proceeding to his home on Friday .light two wild ducks flew across his handle-bars, and hardly realising what he was doing he made a grab, with the result that he caught one by the neck. Being out of season the duck was liberatfd, but with misgivings.
