Taylor, w. Sharp, K. Bo^ater (S) 20; beat Carmichael, LaUrie, Sherwood, Wenham (s) 17. Bfoadbeht, Hhldaway, Laeey, Ifving (s).25; beat O'Conner, Best, A. O. Powell, W. Bull (s) 16. ■ A series of friendly games was also played between the two clubs. The results were as follows, th'e skips of each rink only being mentioned: Hayes 19, beat MeClune 17; Fle'tcher 20, beat McKay 17 ; ' Sweetman 17, lost to H. Powell 18; Hiids«n 18 lost to Childs 30. In the aggregate Central beat Levin by 87 points to 77 in the shield matches and in the friendly games Levin beat Central by 82 points to 74. At the end of the second rouhd shield points are as follows: Levin 100—77—177, Central 15—87—162, Shannon 65 — 81 — 146, Foxton 53 — 83 —136. Ladies' Bowling Playing in the. finals of the singles championship, Mrs. Lacey (18) beat Mrs. Gibson (16). This is the third season that Mrs. Lacey has held the championship. In a challenge pairs match for the Phillips Stars, the holders, Mesdames Forster and Stevens (s) beat MeSdames MCKinstry and Mudgway (s) 21—12. Invitations have been extended to Island Bay and Vogelmoi'n Ladies' Clubs to visit Levin Ladies' Club on January 17.
