MAN WHO PLACED BOMB UNDER HOME
Eeceived Fridav, 8.45 p.m. SYDNFY, Dec. 19. A war pensioner aged 78, who adiuitted in the Central Court that lie was res|)onsil)le for placing a bomb al the liome of tlie fornier Taxation Comniissioner, Mr. E. .T. McMahon, was released today on a two years' good behaviour bond. The bomb caused damage to- Air. McAIahon's home but did not injure anyone. The report of :l psychiatrist stated that part oJ aceused 's plan in placing the bomb was to tlra n' httention to his concern ovef nalioualisation. He also wanted to attract uotice to grievances over an alleged land transaction. Ile was now unlikely to lie dangerous to others. |
