HOSPITAL CHEER FUND
OVER £40 RAISED IN LEVIN
A total of £43 11s 4d will be Levin's contribution towards hospital cheer for patiehts in institutions under the Palmerston Nofth Hospital Board this year. This was the result of last week's street day appeal. The Mayoress, Mrs. H. B. Burdekin, wishes to thank all the residents of Levin and district for: their generous suppoft of the appeal. The money will be used to provide Christmas comforts for all those in hospital. Mrs. Burdekin, in praising the work of the street collectors-, said that though very busy themSelves, they had cheerfully given their time to help those not s 0 fortunate. The collectors were: Mesdames T. de Mey, I. E. Moxham, C. B. Greenaway, H. W. S. Walker, K. Lynch, O. Webb, A. T. Cartwright, W. Davie, E. Ryder> M. Kerr, E. Hamilton, Miss Marie Walker, and Messrs. H. Harvey, W. Hatch, L. Bowden and H. L. Jehkins.
