AUCKLAND, Dec. 18. Oue positive infantile paralysis case, a man, and one child suspect \ver« admitted to Auckland Hospital today. Hotli were from the metropolitan area. Three patieurs who had recovered from tlie disease were diseharged from hospital today. Seven ]>asitive cases4 have now been able to go home but one child has been re-admitted. Fortv-live positive and eight suspccted cases were in liospital toniglit. Fifty-Iive cases have been treated since the outbreak begau just over a month ago. The Medical oHicer of Health at Auckland, Dr. L. S. Davis, announced that children under lli were no longer allowed to land on the (Ireat Barrier Island. He said the decision had been made to prevent a spread of the infection to tlie island. One faetor to be considered was that a person contracting Ihe disease on n comparativeiv isolated island, would have diflieulty in getling nrompt medical attention.
