DARGAVILLE, Dec. 15. The first ease of infantile paralysis reported in North Auckland has occurred in the Northern "Wairoa district. The vietim is a 19-year-old woman who was admitted to the Northern Wairoa j Hospital at Te Kopuru on Saturdav, and has been classilied as a positive but mild case. The vietim is reported to have' arrived in this district from an infected area. No further suspects have yet been reported in North Auckland. Tfie evidence was delinite that the infeetion had been contracted outside of North Auckland, said Dr. J. 1. Newman, the Medical Officer of Health at Whangarei. Iie said that he did not propose to impose any restnction other than those alreadv in fon-e on instructions of the Director-General of Health.
