WOMAN KILLED AT LEVEL CROSSING
An elderly woman received fatal injuries when the car in which she and her husband were travelling was hit by the Wellington -Auckland express train at the Paekakariki crossing shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday. She was Mrs, E. G, Godber, of Whiteman's Valley, Silverstream. Mr. Godber was also injured but his condition at the Wellington Hospital last night was reported as satisfactory. The . car was struck in the rear and thrown clear of the line, but was not _ badly ..damaeed. .T/rs.
