CRICKET NEWS IN BRIEF
The Horowhenua Cricket Association has issued a challenge to the Manawatu B represenlative tekm. It will also endeavouT to arrange a representative garne for junior boys at Palmerston North at the same time if the junior cOmpetition is continued. The games will take place over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The senior competition will be suspended from December 20 to January 10 as a number of members of clubs will be on holiday. P. Jukes has-heen granted a transfer Yrom the Levin to the ■Weraroa Club. The Goldfinch and Cotisins Cup will be played for at Dannevirke on Anniversary Day; 1948, when the iHorowhenua team will be meeting the Southern Hawke's Bay rbpresentatives. There is a possibility of a Horowhenua representative team play* ing the Wellington junior A representatives at Wellington in the near future.
