REPRESENTATIVE SOFTBALL
^ — NORTH ISLAND TRIALS NEXT SATURDAY The North Island repr.esentative softball trial games are to be played at Cambridge Park, Levin, on Saturday next commencing at 2 p.m. The draw is as follows: Horowhenua A v. Hutt, at 2 p.m.; Horowhenua B v. Manawatu, at 2 p.m.; Wellington v. Wanganui, at 3.30 p.m. A parade of the representative and club teams, led by the Horowhenua Pipe Band, will leave the post office at 1.15 p.ny for Cambridge Park. The following two teams have been seleeted to represent Horowhenua:— A team: _ T. Gray (catcher), Brown (2nd pitcher) , Marshall (1st base), Smith (2nd base), Thompson (3rd base) , Gardiner (left outfield), Hakaraia (pitcher, C.O.), Skilton (riglit outfield) , Rose (short stop) and Hapeta (first eiuergency) . B team: Greatbach (catcher), J. Brown (pitcher), Hohipuha (Ist base), N. Winiata (2nd base), Taratoa (right outfield), L. Winiata (3rd base), Wildbore (short stop) , Husband (left outfield) , Wenham- (centre outfield) and Wyrill (emergency) .
