SHANNON PLUNKET SOCIETY

NOYEMBER MEETING

Mrs. L. W. Wilson presided at the November meeting of the Shannon sub-branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs. W. C. Tricker was nominated as a new member. Advice was received • that the local sub-branch had been allocated £15 from the T.G. Macarthy Trust and a cheque for this amount was enclosed. Mrs. R. R. Lin'd was complimented and thanked by Mrs. Wilson for her excellent effort in raising £3 5s. The committee decided to purchase new curtains for the nurse's room. The nurse reported that during October she had made five visits to Shannon and had visited six homes. The adults who ha'd visited the rooms totalled 71, and there were 66 babies brought to the offlce. Pre-school children totalled five.
