LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

STATEMENTS MADE IN COURT Sir, — The letter which appeared in your issue of November 24 over the signature of Mr. E. J. .Graham touches on a subject of grave public interest. The question of privilege as I revealed in the case of Waimea County Council v. Richardson is one that should have the immediate attention of the Minister of Justice, as it appears to be anything but justice for the present position to continue. This question is also of great interest to the Law Society, which in cases like that quoted should 'discipline an offending counsel even if the judge or magistrate has no power at present to do so. Yours etc., "JUSTICE." Otaki, Dec. 1.
