MARCHING AT FEILDING
— horowhenua teams take part * Horowhenua marching teams rourneyed to Feilding 011 Saturday last and took part in a eombmed competition and marching dispiay staged on Johnston Park. There were 20 teams present, but only nine took part in the competition, which was the best dispiay Performed in an atea measuring 50 yards by 50 yards. Caiedonian, | Levin, was the only team from Horowhenua that entered. It gained second place, being Lalf a point behind the winners, the Feilding Municipal Band team. A leaders' competition was also judged for the teams taking pait, this being won by Miss S. Smith, Caiedonian, Levin. Other Horo-. whenua - teams gave exhibitions of the 1947 championship march, and the junior teams displays.
