LOCAL AND GENERAL
The stationmaster, Mr. A. North, together with Mrs. North, is spending his annual leave in Hastings and Rotorua. A member of a well-known pioneering family, Mrs. Gamble, of Blenheim, arrived at Paraparaumu airport on Saturday to spend a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. C. Guerin, of HingSton Road. Card Party Winners There was the usual good attendance of players at Laurvig's Hall on Friday evening for the weekly card evening con'ducted by the local branch of tb.e' Labour Party. Prize-winners were Mrs. W. Picard and Mr. D. Harris.
