CHAMPIONSHIP BOWLING

LEVIN LA'DIES' COMPETITIONS During the past week play on the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club's green saw the completion of the third round of the singles championShip, Mesdames Gibson and Lacey having two lives. Mesdames Stevens, Gardner and Lett have only one life. After one round of the pairs matches, Mesdames Shell and Lacey (s), McKinstry and Mitchell (si and Lett and Gibson (s) have two lives, the one-lifers being Mesdames Johnston and StevenS (s) and Forster and Gardner (s) . The rinks tournament was played on Thursday last in ideal weather. Thirty-two players took part, including visitors from Levin and Levin Central Clubs. All games were keenly contested and at the conclusion of a very enjoyable afternoon a rink comprising Mesdames H. Walker, Thompson, Gardner and Sharp (s) emerged the winners.
