SATURDAY'S CRICKET
PLAY MARRED BY RAIN — ( Wet weather on Saturday caused most of the cricket matches in the Horowhenua district to be aband- ' oried. The only senior teams to complete their match were College A and Weraroa, playing 135 minutes each. The game ended in a draw, the teams becoming thoroughly wet in the process of play. Weraroa made 114' runs for seven wickets in their innings and College were all out for 133. Some excellent scoring in view of the poor wicket was made in this match. R. Keenan for Weraroa made a bright knock of 30, to be closely followed by A. Nicholl with 26. Bowling was very poor, the best effort for the day being that of France who took five College wickets for 24 runs. Next was Smith with three for 30 and for College, J. D- McFarlane with five for 55.
