FAR EASTERN COMINFORM SET UP IN MANCHURIA
Received Sundav, 8.50 p.m. NANKING, Nov. 29. A Far Eastern Cominform was set up in Harbin, ATanchuria, on November 20, accovding to usually relial)le C'hinese press reports from Cliangchun. The eonference tyas attended by delegates from the Soviet Union, Outer Alongolia, Korea and a few Chinese Communists. Japanese delegates were unable to secure the necessavy visas though many Japanese prisoners who were Communists before the war were allowed to attend the eonference but not as delegates. According to reports tl.e problems discussed were: Firstly, the establishinent of a Cominform Bureau in the I'ar Fast; secondly, mutual cooperation between Far East countries in their iight for autonoinv; thirdly, a perpetuation of the Communist revolfition. It is reported from Tokio tliat the Japanese Communist Party officiaiiv announced that the party failed to see the uecessity of establishing a Cominform. The spokesman (Itoj reiterated that the Japanese Communist Party needed no help or guidance from Communist partie's in foreign countries.
