BRITISH HILL BREEDS URGED FOR N.Z.
^ WELLINGTON, Nov. 21. A proposal that British hill breeds of slieep and cattle shonld be imported and developed in Xew Zealand, was' put before tlie Koyal Commission on Hlieep Farming, by Arr. Hani 8. Timbs, of Wanganui, 1'ormer sujiervisor of grading and sliipping- for the X" e w Zealand Meat I'roducers ' Board. Alr. Timbs said lie had been an advocate of British hill breeds for more than 30 vears. The Commission will sit at Massey (hillege. 011 M 011 day to hear further evi dence. On Tuesday morning it will attend a special screening of the filjn "Yaiiishing Heritage" dealing with Kew Zealand high cougtry, produced by Federated Farmers.
