Record Christmas Postings
Parcels to Britain in the Christmas posting month of October, reached the highest peak of all time in both quantity and weight. A total of 163,784 parcels weighing 1,558,473 lbs. was despatched to the United Kingdom from all districts throughout New ZealandAnnouncing this the PostmasterGeneral said it was an increase of 302,475 lbs. of parcels over Septem■ber which was also a record month and of 709,077 lbs. on October of > last year.
