MR. PARTON'S APPRECIATION

' A. W.

PARTON.

Sir, — I want to express my thanks for the very able and ample reports your paper has made of the meetings throughout the mayoral campaign. Whoever is eiected it is the prerogative of the voters ta decide for we are but their servants, and it is for those of us who offef our services to keep this steadily in view. I said previously that I would not answer anonymous correspondents, but my insurance proposals are certainly not dead and buried, and your correspondent will have plenty of time to fully consider chem at a later date. Yours etc.,

Levin, Nov. 18.
