Received Sunday, 9.15 p.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 8. The President's speciai food committee announced 'today that American poultryless Thursdays would be called ' off immediately. Americans will still be asked not to use ' eggs on Thursdays. The action I'ollowr the "hens for Henry" campaigil started by angry chicken farmers ■ who recently sent crates of birds to President Truman • explaimng that they could not sell them and could not afford to feed them. The committee chaixman, Mr. Charles Luckman, said the deeision was the result of a new grain-saving programme adopted for the poitltry industry and it was hoped that 56,000,000 bushels of grains would be saved. The programme, he said, had President Truman's approyal.
