MR. CHIFLEY IS DUMB
Received Monday, 12.17 a.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 9. The Prime Minister (Mr. Chifley) and most of the Federal Ministers declined to comment on the Victorian eleetion result. The Minister of Trade and Customs said the result was chiefly the outcome of a fear complex whipped up hy every available means of Opposition propaganda. He believed that in time as the people came to know the motives of the Federal Coverninent and appreciate the problems which would surely confront Australia in the next few years they would have lost that fear complex and endorse the banking legislation.
