LADIES' BOWLING
Members representing the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club have attend;ed opening ceremonies at Paraparaumu, Kilbirnie, Otaki and : Vogeltorn Ladies' Bowling Clubs. All these outings proved very enjoyable. With the improved weather a good start has been made with club competitions and champion'ships. -The Lett Brooches pairs 'competitions played on Thursday last resulted in a win for Mesdames , Gardner and Henderson (s) . Members are reminded that games 1 for these trophies are played on Thursday afternoons. Three matchep ,'ln the first* -round ■of the singles ehampionship have resulted in wins for Mesdames Forster, Gibson and Lett. At the Manawatu Women's Bowling Cen- ! tre pairs tournament, to be held at I Palmerston North on Tuesday and iWednesday, the club will be repre'sented by Mesdames Forster and Lacey (s) and Mesdames Lett and Gardner (s).
